My name is Veronica Velez, I am married and have 3 beautiful little girls. I teach ESL Kindergarten. I have been teaching in Aldine for 8 years. I graduated from University of Houston-Downtown. I have taught 5th and 6th grade but my last six years have been in Kindergarten. I am very passionate about teaching and I couldn’t picture myself doing anything else. I am a graduate and a homegrown Aldine teacher. Aldine is and has always been my community. I love being a part of it and I love being part of the Garcia-Leza team.
Hello, I’m Mrs. StRomain; I was born and raised here in Houston, Texas. I went to The University of Houston – Downtown. This will be my 5th year as a teacher and I absolutely love what I do. I taught PreK for 3 years, and this is my second year as a Kindergarten inclusion and Resource Teacher. My husband and I have 8 beautiful children together. When I am not working, I spend my time with my family!
My name is Candace Caldwell. I’m currently a Regular Ed Kindergarten Teacher here at Garcia Leza Primary School. I graduated from The University of Houston-Downtown with a bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies. I love being apart of the lightning bug family. I hope to make your child’s experience here at Garcia Leza fun and exciting, but also instilled with lots of learning!
