Community members can take advantage of free health screenings, health information, and family fun for young and old.

It’s spring, and there is no better time to gather the family and set out for a morning of health education. The Aldine Independent School District invites the community to spend quality time at the inaugural Aldine ISD Family Health Fair on March 26.

Donaldson Child Nutrition Center
1802 Aldine Bender Rd. • Houston, TX 77032

What to Expect

    • Free health screenings, COVID vaccines, flu shots, live demonstrations, meetings with health experts, and activities will be featured at the health fair.
    • The first 300 families will receive swag bags filled with goodies.
    • Door prize drawings will take place throughout the event.

“Aldine is very focused on our students and staff,” said Dr. Martha Escalante, Aldine ISD executive director of Family and Community Engagement (FACE). “The Aldine Health Fair shows what we are doing to help promote health in the district and community. The fair is also a great opportunity for the district to give back to the community.”

The FACE Department, coordinating the fair, seeks to attract as many community members as possible.

The Aldine ISD Health Fair is a free event for employees, students, their families, and community members to connect them to resources to live healthier lifestyles.

Health experts set to attend and educate the community at the event are MD Anderson, Texas Children’s, Hope Clinic, UHP Health, Molina HealthCare, DePelchin, Spring Branch Health Center, Mi Familia Dental, Harris County Public Health Services, and Legacy Community Health.

Aldine ISD Child Nutrition will have smoothie samples and will be giving consultations regarding the prevention of heart disease and cancer.

“It’s a great way to spend quality family time on a Saturday morning. Our goal is to let our community come together and be a part of this event,” Escalante said. “This will be a great avenue to focus on their overall health.”
